Adam Lallana, the midfielder for Liverpool apologised to Klopp after his miss in the Reds’ 1-1 draw versus Manchester City on the 19th of March. The athlete had a chance to give his side an advantage in the final quarter of the game after Roberto Firmino set him up. However, the 28-year-old England International fluffed his shot, and this is why the Merseyside club failed to take the lead until the end of the game. James Milner’s penalty placed Liverpool ahead in the second part. However, Sergio Aguero’s goal cancelled the lead. Liverpool could have gone home with 3 points if Lallana had managed to find the back of the net.
Klopp told the Liverpool Echo that after the game Lallana immediately apologised to him. So the boss thought why? The manager knows that the midfielder thought that he had to say sorry, but Jurgen Klopp believes that there is no need to apologise since his performance was once again outstanding. He added that Lallana is one of the best players that he has ever worked with. Thus, if he cannot score, that means that he has worked too hard before.
This draw saw the Reds’ sit at the fourth place with 56 points and are one spot below City. Liverpool’s The arch enemy Manchester United are in the fifth place with 52 points and have two more games. If the Red Devils get two victories, they will rise above Liverpool.
