Betting Predictions 12.03.2015 – Europa League

Wolfsburg – Inter Wolfsburg lost surprisingly in the Bundesliga during the weekend. thus ending their 15 game undefeated run. Now they need to put this disappointment behind them and concentrate on the Europa League, where they’re one of the favorites to win the competition. Inter managed to snatch a point against Napoli after being 2-0 down and even though they’ve been inconsistent so far, the Italian side always has potential to spring up a surprise. Wolfsburg kept a clean sheet in their last three Europa League fixtures while Inter are undefeated in their previous eleven games in the tournament. The Nerazzurri will probably approach this game with caution and try to not concede many goals before the second leg.

Tip: Under 2.5 goals @ 2.10

Fiorentina – Roma

Fiorentina’s good run ended abruptly when they lost 4-0 against Lazio and now La Viola need to forget about this match as soon as possible. Their opponents are a familiar team and the hosts won the last meeting between them in the domestic cup. Roma manager Rudi Garcia and his players continue with the unimpressive performances in the league and this tournament seems like their only chance to win something this season. They will be without Victor Ibarbo who is still injured and their manager may opt to start with the same team that defeated Feyenoord. Fiorentina’s goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu is still out, which means Neto will probably start in goal again. We saw less than 2.5 goals in Fiorentina’s last four home matches against Roma and looking at the visitors’ current attacking record, this does look like the most likely outcome.

Tip: Under 2.5 goals @ 1.70

Everton – Dynamo Kyiv

Everton continue falling down the table in the English Premier League and are dangerously close to the relegation zone. But The Toffees show a different side when it comes to playing in Europe and were pretty impressive so far in the tournament. The English side is one of the biggest favorites to win the tournament and need to win this match before the tough second leg in Ukraine. Dynamo aren’t a weak team and will try to score the important away goal with fast paced counter-attacks. The hosts will hope that Leighton Baines, Aiden McGeady and Bryan Oviedo are back for this game after suffering injuries. The Ukranian side will be without Serhiy Rybalka who is suspended. Key player Jermain Lens was subbed off early in the league game and it is to be seen if he will be available for selection. I expect both teams to have many chances and goals seem likely in this match up.

Tip: Both teams to score @ 1.80

Villarreal – Sevilla

This is the second clash in the 1/8 finals between two teams from the same country who know each other very well. Villareal have scored two or more goals in their last seven Europa League games and we saw more than 2.5 goals in 15 of their last 17 fixtures in the competition. There were also seven occasions in the last eight games between these two teams where there were more than 2.5 goals. Tomás Pina is suspended for the hosts, meanwhile Giovani dos Santos and Jonathan Pereira are doubtful and probably will start from the bench. Sevilla will miss the likes of Beto and Iago Aspas due to injuries. These two sides enjoy scoring and we may see another goal-thriller on Thursday.

Tip: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.95
