Crystal Palace – Manchester United
Manchester United lost their last three games and the fourth place is all but secured for them. Crystal Palace are also without a win in their last three fixtures, even though they are safe from relegation and play only for their pride. Palace performed admirably against Chelsea in the last round but couldn’t create many chances. Thomas, Chamakh and Campbell are doubts for the hosts, but it’s unlikely that they’ll be fit in time for the game. Van Gaal has to deal with the absence of four defenders in the likes of Rojo, Shaw, Evans and Rafael. The captain Michael Carrick also won’t be able to take part in the game due to an injury. This match is crucial for the Red Devils and if they want to play in the Champions League next season, a win here is a must.
Tip: 2 @ 1.9
AC Milan – Roma
After losing heavily to Napoli, Milan are now out of the battle for the Europa League places. Roma are second after Lazio dropped points against Atalanta and their form has improved recently. A good finish to the season will guarantee them the second place, but they need to get a win from this match. Milan have a lot of problems with injuries and suspensions. The hosts will be without El Sharaawy, Ricardo Montolivo, Adil Rami, Suso, Menez and De Sciglio while Roma will home that Doumbia will be fit for this one after suffering a knock. Considering Milan don’t have anything to play for and their current form, I just don’t see them getting something out of this game.
Tip: 2 @ 2.00
Borussia Monchengladbach – Bayer Leverkusen
This is a clash for the third spot in the Bundesliga. Borussia are two points ahead of Leverkusen and will try to retain their position. The hosts won their last eight game in the league and this gives them a slight advantage over their opponents. Both teams are in great form, but Leverkusen have been the better team when they faced each other and are undefeated in 24 of the last 26 games against their opponents. We saw less than 2.5 goals in Gladbach’s last five home games and considering the importance of this game, both teams will prefer a careful approach.
Tip: Under 2.5 goals @ 1.8
Real Madrid – Valencia
Real Madrid suffered a disappointing defeat against Juventus in the Champions League and their minds will be focused on the second leg in Madrid rather than the game against Valencia. Sevilla are putting the pressure on them and the visitors can’t afford to lose in this game. Real are in the battle for the title, but the players will surely be frustrated after the game in Italy. We saw more than 2.5 goals in Real Madrid’s last five league games and in Valencia’s last three away fixtures so it’s guaranteed that we’ll see attacking football from both sides.
Tip: Both teams to score @ 1.50
