Atletico Madrid – Real Madrid
These two teams meet once again this season, this time in the most prestigious European club competition. Atletico Madrid haven’t lost in the last six games against their city rivals and it looks like Diego Simeone has figured out how to play against them. Even though, Atletico’s recent league form hasn’t been that good and they’re trailing seven points behind Real, the Champions League is the perfect stage for them to redeem themselves. The visitors are doing well in the league recently, but their form in Europe can be doubted. They were one goal away from being eliminated from Schalke 04 in the last round and should be more alert on Tuesday. Both teams have no injury concerns and all players should be available to their managers. Considering Atleti’s recent record against Real and their great home form, I predict a narrow win for the home side.

Juventus – Monaco
After a shocking loss against Parma Juventus will need to put this disappointing result behind them and concentrate on their match against Monaco. The French side already pulled an upset in the competition by eliminating Arsenal and now have set their sights on another European giant. The home team were certainly pleased with the draw for the 1/4 finals but there are no weak teams anymore and Monaco should not be underestimated. Paul Pogba will surely miss out on this clash while Andrea Pirlo’s participation is under doubt. Tiemoue Bakayoko and Lacina Traore are the injured players for Monaco. Juventus will try to get a good result before the second leg in France and, even though, Monaco have been very stable in defense this season, the home team should be able to achieve a victory in Italy.
Tip: 1 @ 1.5
Paris Saint Germain – Barcelona
These two teams already met in the Champions League this season and each of them won one of the two matches. PSG are missing a lot of key players in the likes of David Luiz, Thiago Motta, Serge Aurier, Marco Veratti and Zlatan Ibrahimovic due to injuries and suspension. They still have a strong side but these absences will certainly play their part. Barcelona are only without the injured Vermaelen and the suspended Dani Alves. Barcelona let a two-goal lead slip against Sevilla during the weekend and will have to be much more composed during this game, considering PSG won the previous game against them in France. Barcelona will try to score some away goals before the second leg, meanwhile PSG will try their best to come out of this match with a favorable result, so it’s likely that we’ll see many goals.
Tip: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.8
FC Porto – Bayern Munich
Both teams will have to deal with the absences of some key players. For Porto, Ivan Marcano is suspended while Cristian Tello and Jackson Martinez are doubts. The losses at Bayern are much bigger because Robben, Ribery, Schweinsteiger, Martinez and Alaba will certainly miss this game, meanwhile Mehdi Benatia is a doubt. Bayern are the huge favorites for this match, but Porto haven’t lost in their last 10 Champions League games. Considering both teams’ attacking absences, it’s reasonable to think that there won’t be many goals here.
Tip: Under 2.5 goals @ 1.8
