Napoli will be facing Real Madrid in the first part of the last round at Santiago Bernabéu tomorrow evening. Los Blancos have a very hard game ahead of them considering the fact that the Italian team has not lost a single game since October.
In spite of Napoli’s amazing form, Real Madrid are still favoured to win the match and go to the quarter-finals.
If we consider the qualifying odds, Real Madrid are also favoured with 3/10 and Napoli are with 9/4. Moreover, penalty shoot-outs and extra time are included in these odds.
Real Madrid’s coach Zinedine Zidane told Sky Sports that he hopes that Gareth Bale will manage to recover in time for the match against Napoli. He added that he had returned to the team’s training on Sunday, which is the most important thing. Zidane concluded that since Bale is determined and works very well, he will be fine.
Another factor that might cause problems for Real Madrid is the absence of Christiano Ronaldo at the team training two days before the clash. There still is no confirmed reason for his absence, but several reports from Spain state that it might be a precautionary measure since the current Ballon d’Or is still in line to help his side.
There is no need to mention that Ronaldo, who is now 32, has been under a lot of scrutinies recently after his form descended in the first part of this season.
