Premier League Tips 02.12.2014

Burnley – Newcastle United. Burnley’s form improved recently and the host are undefeated in their last three games, currently sitting 19th. Newcastle’s winning streak was put to an end last week in the game against West Ham where they lost 1-0. Their injury list is very long and this will be one of the main problems for them at the moment. Jak Alnwick will probably make his debut at goals because Krul is injured and Elliot will attend the birth of his child. In addition to that Moussa Sissoko and Jack Colback are suspended. For the host Chalobah and Duff are doubts for the game and probably won’t start. Both teams haven’t scored a lot of goals so far in the season and I think this will also be the case for this game. Tip: Under 2.5 goals @ 1.66

Leicester – Liverpool

Leicester’s drop in form is has put them at the bottom of the league and now the club desperately needs to win points. They won only one point from possible 18 in their last six games and the last game they missed the chance to beat QPR. Now they’ll face Liverpool who were also in a slump but managed to win their last fixture against Stoke with a late goal from Glen Johnson. Even though their performance wasn’t very impressive they need all the points they can get in order to have a chance for a top 4 spot and Leicester seem like beatable opponents right now. Tip: 2 @ 2.0

Manchester United – Stoke City

Bad news for United as Di Maria went off injured in the last game but Falcao made his return and is likely to start against Stoke. The Potters lost unluckily against Liverpool and now have won only one of their last five matches in all competitions. United have a good streak at Old Trafford against their opponents, having won their last six home games between these two teams in all competitions. Their form has improved and they look like real contenders for the places that guarantee Champions League football next season but a win here is a must. Tip: 1 @ 1.50

Lorient – Marseille

These two teams have very similar recent form – they both won their last two matches and lost the previous two. Marseille are first in the league and have a one point advantage over PSG so it’s very important for them to win this match. They won the last three fixtures against Lorient in all competitions and 11 of their last 13 games in Ligue 1. This will be a tight game but I expect Marseille to win and keep their first place for now. Tip: 2 @ 2.05
