Football Predictions 07.12.2014 – Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A

West Ham – Swansea. The Hammers continue their impressive start to the season by registering two wins in their last two games against Newcastle and West Brom which puts them only one point behind fourth placed Manchester United. Enner Valencia returned from injury in the match against WBA and is likely to start but the same can’t be said about  Diafra Sakho, Alex Song and Mark Noble who will be assessed before the game. The Swans haven’t won away in their last five Premier League matches and even though their home form is good this could be a problem for them in the long run. Gary Monk will be without Neil Taylor who picked up his fifth yellow card against QPR and Federico Fernandez is still injured. In the last three fixtures when these two sides met we saw fewer than 2.5 goals and West Ham managed to keep a clean sheet in all of them. I think both teams will be careful with their approach and we won’t see many goals. Tip: Under 2.5 goals @ 1.80

Aston Villa – Leicester

The Villains finally picked up a win in the last round against Palace away and will be looking to continue with their good form. Joe Cole was taken off injured in that game which means we will probably see Carlos Sanchez return to the starting eleven. Leicester haven’t won any of their last nine games and are desperate to record a victory here but their away form has been terrible – The Foxes lost all of their five away games in the league this season. In addition captain and central defender Wes Morgan will be suspended for this match because of his red card against Liverpool last round and Villa striker Christian Benteke will try to exploit this weakness. Both teams are in need of three points here but seeing as Villa’s form recently improved and Leicester are currently last I predict a win for the home side. Tip: 1 @ 2.40

Napoli – Empoli

Empoli received a lot of praise for their attacking football and given Napoli’s unstable defense I expect them to provide a challenge to The Partenopei. Rafa Benitez’ side will be without Kalidou Koulibaly who is suspended for this game and the injured Zuniga, Insigne and Michu. Their recent run is really impressive and they have a ten game undefeted streak at the moment. The only problem with Napoli is their defense – in the home games they have the third best attack and the third worst defense in the league. Empoli’s last four games have seen both teams score in them and given the fact that Rafa Benitez’ teams often squander their lead against weaker sides I think we’ll see both teams scoring in this one. Tip: Both teams to score @ 1.80

Genoa – AC Milan

Genoa currently sit above Milan in the table and will try to keep things that way. They will be without Nicolas Burdisso for this match because of suspension. Filippo Inzaghi has more problems than his college and with Ignazio Abate, Alex and Mattia De Sciglio likely to miss this one out it looks like Milan’s defense won’t have its strongest players. The team from Genova has 8 consecutive games without a loss which has lifted the team to their current league position. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Genoa’s last five home game and in Milan’s last six league matches and when you look at the last five meeting between these teams, four of them finished with less than 2.5 goals, so it’s very likely they will repeat this again on Sunday. Tip: Under 2.5 goals @ 1.73

Eintracht Frankfurt – Werder Bremen

Both teams like to score goals but they also concede a lot so this will definitelly be an exciting game. The hosts from Frankfurt are undefeted in their last eight games against Bremen in all competitions and their manager Thomas Schaaf will want to prove himself against his former club. Werder Bremen have conceded at least two goals in nine of their last ten Bundesliga games away from home. Alejandro Gálvez will be suspended for the away side but Santiago Garcia returns at left back. In six out of the last eight Eintracht games they registered at least two goals in the first half and given all of the facts surrounding this clash I think that this bet seems reasonable. Tip: Over 1.5 goals in the first half @ 2.25
