Chelsea – Crystal Palace
. Chelsea are only one win away from becoming champions and they can achieve it on Sunday against Crystal Palace. The visitors had an amazing streak under Alan Pardew but lost their last two games in the league. They’re safe from relegation and have nothing to play for, meanwhile Chelsea would like to win the title as soon as possible. The Blues won five out of the last six games against Palace and haven’t lost in their last 17 home games in the Premier League. Mourinho has only one injured player in the likes of Diego Costa while Alan Pardew will be without Campbell, Chamakh and Jerome Thomas for sure. I expect the future champions to seal the deal and win the title in style.
Tip: 1 (-1) @ 1.52
Tottenham – Manchester City
Manchester City look sure to finish in the top four after a terrible run, but Tottenham still have to fight for the Europa League spot. Southampton are dangerously close to them and Spurs look like the more motivated team at the moment. This game could’ve been much more exciting, but both teams underperformed in the second half of the season. The hosts will be without the injured Ben Davies and Kyle Walker while Man City have to deal with the absences of Yaya Toure, Vincent Kompany, Gael Clichy, Samir Nasri and Stevan Jovetic. The visitors scored four or more goals in the last three games against this opponent in all competitions and also won seven out of the last eight. We saw tons of goals in the previous meetings between these two sides and seeing as both Tottenham and City will play without pressure, we can expect another goal-thriller.
Tip: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.57
Napoli – AC Milan
Milan’s terrible run continued at home against Genoa and Filippo Inzaghi’s future at the club seems unclear. Rafael Benitez has an upcoming 1/2 final in the Europa League against Dnipro and probably will make some changes to his squad for this game. His side are five points away from the third spot and a Champions League place seems more likely to be achieved by winning the Europa League. Benitez failed to win the last match against Empoli and would like to make it up to the fans. Milan have three suspended players in the likes of Mexes, Abate and Menez. In addition, Alex, Montolivo and El Shaarawy are injured, so their task won’t be made easier by that. We saw more than 2.5 goals in Napoli’s last five home games against AC Milan and considering both teams’ defensive problems, a high scoring game seems likely.
Tip: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.57
Roma – Genoa
Roma finally won in their last game and could feel a little safer about the third spot, even though the threat from Napoli is still there. Their home record has been impeccable – they haven’t lost in 34 out of their last 36 home games in Serie A. Their opponents Genoa won four out of the last five games and are currently one point away from the fifth spots which grants a chance of Europa League participation in the next season. The games between these two sides usually have many goals in them – we saw more than 2.5 goals in six of Roma’s last seven home fixtures against Genoa and despite their inability to score as much as they would like at home recently, this game can always surprise us with many goals.
Tip: Both teams to score @ 1.73
